Final Project (Logo design)

For this project, Ms U has hired me to help create some stickers and badges for things that need to be aware of in Shawnigan. For example, Anti-Racism, LGBTQ community, and more. She wants me to bring out positive messages through my designs. I chose to do Anti-bullying and respect because nowadays bullying has become such a common thing no matter if it is physically bullying, cyberbullying, or other types of bullying. I have witness quite a few online bullying, and I always wanted to help but I am not sure what is the right way. So I hope creating these stickers and badges can at least raise awareness in my community. The core value of this company is to raise awareness towards all sorts of problems in our community, and I chose to focus on Anti-Bullying and respect. In my design, I am going to include phrases like "treat people with kindness"and other meaningful words that can bring out the messages. Also, heart shape is one of the main shape of my design, because heart represents loving and caring.

I created three designs for this project. For all of the designs I included heart shapes because it represents loving and caring. For the first design, I chose to use some neutral colour as the main colour of the design, because neutral colour makes the logo look aesthetically pleasing. I also added a mouth shape on the design, so it looks like someone is trying to talk. Then I added a heart shape with light pink colour next to the mouth with the phrase "treat people with kindness", so it looks like the person is trying to spread the message.
For the second design, I chose to use the colour light green as the background of the design, because light green goes well with the color pink and pink is the color of the heart. This design includes a melting heart, because it shows that bullying can really hurt people’s feelings. I also added a knife saying “bully” breaking the heart to exaggerate the feeling. Then I added the phrase "Stop This" next to the design, because this shouldn’t be happening.
For the third design, I chose to use the color orange because it’s a warm tone color and it matches my design. The idea of this design is to show that we should choose kindness by accepting others' diversity and culture. So the phrase for this design is “choose kindness” and I chose to use black as the color of the words because it makes them stand out. For shapes, the hand hugging heart represents caring and the smiley face on the heart shows that when we choose kindness towards each other, it will make people feel happy. I chose to use red for the heart shape not only because that’s the color of our heart, also it matches well with the orange color.
